TSET Healthy Futures Initiative

The Oklahoma Association of Youth Services (OAYS) partners with the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) through their Healthy Future Initiatives to provide support to children and youth grades three through eight in making healthy life choices through tobacco prevention, healthy lifestyles/nutrition, activity, life skills, and character education.

The Framework

Healthy Kids/Healthy Communities is based on the 40 Developmental Assets Framework, an evidence-based model widely used nationally for developing strong and healthy youth. Created by Search Institute, a national non-profit organization, the framework focuses on cultivating healthy relationships, opportunities, and personal strengths.
